When You Should Replace Your Medical Oxygen Cylinders

By Uncategorised

As part of our ongoing commitment to safety and compliance, we want to remind all customers of the importance of regularly swapping out medical oxygen cylinders.

In line with our Licence Recommendations, these cylinders should be replaced every five years. This ensures optimal performance and safety, which is essential in healthcare environments.

Why is this Important?

  • Safety First: Older cylinders may develop risks, such as leaks or reduced efficacy, potentially compromising patient care.
  • Compliance: Following the five-year replacement rule helps maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Performance: Newer cylinders ensure reliable oxygen delivery, vital for maintaining high-quality patient care.

We recommend reviewing your medical oxygen cylinders now. If the batch number ends in ‘19’, it’s time to schedule a replacement.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Nitrogenx team today!
